First, having a DM-only map layer would be really useful. Consider the archetypal one-page dungeon - it has notes written around the map on traps, enemy numbers, and riddles. Being able to see those, while knowing that my players can’t, would be really useful!
Ideally, I’d like the ability to select grid squares and tie blocks of text to them. There might be a single block with a trap under it, or a room with a save required every n rounds, and it would be useful to tap those blocks and have the text pop up, if that makes sense.
I would love to have a DM only layer, but it’d also be super useful to be able to swap it to player view. I’m loving the app so far, its killer, good work!
One feature I thought that would allow me to stay focussed on the one screen is to have the ability to record DM notes per room/area of a map. I was thinking the DM could add “note tokens” to the map that are hidden in public view. When you click on the note token, it opens a notes block (like your current stat blocks but just a rich text block) Things I usually note per room are: - brief description of the room/area - what NPCs/monsters are doing at the time the adventurers enter - traps - treasures - secrets So having them on the tarrasque map instead of having to shuffle through my notes and match the map on tarrasque to my physical DM notes would be a super useful tool.
